Product Description
Pressed coir pith disc is obtained from the fibrous husk of the coconut. The husk is used in the fiber industry and the released coir pith is a by-product. The obtained coir pith is washed, dried, sifted and fertilized with NPK fertilizer and Calcium Nitrate.
The nutritional charge lasts about 2-3 weeks; after this period it is advisable to use a nutrient solution: it is possible to use the mineral fertilizer we offer.
Thanks to its fine structure and high air content, the coconut disc is the ideal substrate for home cultivation.
Coconut fiber has been used for years in the professional sector thanks to its properties: it is an organic and sustainable product. Once used, it can be recycled for new crops or composted.
To obtain the substrate to insert into the EVA basket, place a disk in the tray and add 225 ml of water. After about half an hour all the water will have been absorbed and the volume of the disk will have become approximately 0.68 liters. Break up the coconut fiber with your fingers and insert it into the basket, leveling it well and sow.
